Loved the pics of this home tour in Country Living Magazine from the home of Jennifer Eggleston in Fredericksburg, Texas. She uses a great mix of rustic woods, painted finishes and fresh fabrics to create a simple beautiful style.

Tine K Home Spring Collection
Photos from the tinekhome new Spring collection. Simply stunning...
"Soon the days will be longer, the light will be lighter, the flowers will flower and everything will seem more colorful and bright.
My spring is white, army green, charcoal, and raspberry red.
I believe that white color carries pureness and calmness while the army green and charcoal colors bring nature inside. Raspberry red reminds me of all the colorful moments and memories spring will bring."

Elemental Goods
Came across this shop from some items they have on Fyndes and clicked through to check out their selection on the website and I was floored! Such a great selection of modern and industrial antiques and vintage finds. Below are some of my favorites but you can check out the rest of their selection here.
This would make the coolest bar...

Fyndes
Mark Castellino is the curator behind Fyndes, the fabulous new showcase for the design professional. The aim behind Fyndes is to provide a platform for artists and dealers to showcase their work and to be a resource for interior designers and decorators. Mark's carefully curated collection of artists, boutiques, and antique dealers is fantastic. Mark interviewed me for a feature post on his blog today, read about our interview here.
I found a lot of pieces that I would love to snatch up over at Fyndes. Love these vintage bus signs from Paris Hotel Boutique.
Lusting over these delicate paper creations by Frazier & Wing.

Sad News for Shabby Chic...
It is with a heavy heart that I share that Shabby Chic has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. On her blog Rachel wrote, "I thought there would be other solutions. But with great sadness, in the end, it was the best choice of some very not nice choices."
Rachel and her amazing company were a big part of what got me interested in this business years ago so my heart breaks for her.
Thankfully, their wholesale line is still intact and going strong. So, we will continue to carry the Shabby Chic Studio line of furniture at RianRae.

My Little Pixie
Oh my, where to begin. Yesterday evening I came downstairs to get dinner started to see my youngest standing at the bottom of the stairs with a child's scissors in her hands and a big smile on her face. She said, "Mom, look at how pretty I look!" Apparently, she decided to give herself a haircut and had no idea the damage she had done. My first reaction was to gasp and then she frowned and her face got all scrunched up with a worried look on it. I quickly recovered and told her it was OK, I wasn't upset with her and would fix it. The first pictures below, I took before I cut the rest to even it out. Well, I did my best to even it out but she had practically "scalped" herself in some spots so those areas will just have to grow out... And given the fact, that it took three years to grow her hair long enough to put in a pony-tail, it is going to take some time...
After the cut was finished, I told her she looked beautiful and suggested she go look in the mirror (she still hadn't seen it yet). She took one look in the mirror and burst into tears and went hysterical. "I don't like it, I don't like it", she screamed over and over. It took a half hour just to calm her down.
Well, at least she won't ever do this again (I hope).
These last two pictures I took this morning of her new short "pixie cut". You can't see the side of her head that is missing big chunks of hair in this picture but they are there. The good news is she is recovered this morning and now looks in the mirror and says she looks "beautiful!" My little pixie.

All My Magazines...
Ok, I realize this is not a revelation to anyone at this point but I had to share my sadness of this recent trend. I cannot express how much enjoyment these magazines brought to my life. It may sound silly but it is so very true. Ever since I was a young girl, I have been collecting decorating magazines and the closing of these magazines feels like I have lost a close friend. Farewell to Domino, Cottage Living, Country Home, Home Companion (all of which I have/had subscriptions to) which join the ranks of House & Garden, Home, Blueprint, and O At Home. This is truly a sad sad time...
